Native Presence — Ally Scholar Dashboard

Ally Scholar Dashboard

Quiet place for non-Native scholars to hold publications, dialogues, and ally commitments in service to Indigenous futures — without speaking over Indigenous voices.

Scholar Profile

Basic information, research focus, and ceremonial anchor for how your work appears in Native Presence.

Publications & Links

Highlight a few key works. This dashboard does not store full-text — only safe links and summaries.

When we wire this section to Firestore, each publication card will be created from a safe schema: title, year, venue, thematic tag, short summary, external URL. No full text or paywalled PDFs will be stored inside Native Presence.

Dialogues & Roundtables

Places where your research is in conversation with Indigenous voices, always under Indigenous guidance.

In a later step, specific dialogues can appear as cards here (with consent from Indigenous partners) and in a public “Dialogues” rail on your scholar page.

Reading Sanctuary

A soft place where visitors can encounter key texts from your work, with gentle prompts that point back to Indigenous continuity.

Future Generations

Why think about people not yet born?

Short reflection zone for readers: how do decisions today shape those who inherit land, water, and institutions?

Structural Injustice

When harm is built into systems

Readers can pause and notice where long-term patterns of injustice show up in their own institutions and laws.

Care & Responsibility

Care across time

Prompts to think about caring not just for individuals, but for lineages, languages, and future communities.

Later, this sanctuary can pull in small text fragments or questions that you propose, after review by Native Presence stewards, so visitors can engage slowly with your work.

Visibility & Citations

How your ally scholar page appears, and how others may share or cite your work from Native Presence.

Protocol & Boundaries

Clear commitments that keep Indigenous leadership at the center while your research is present in this sanctuary.

Ally Scholar Protocol Commitments
  • You do not claim Indigenous identity or speak for Indigenous nations.
  • You agree that Native Presence may remove or edit your presence if communities request it.
  • You do not upload ceremonial images, sacred teachings, or community-confidential content.
  • Your contributions stay in the lanes of ethics, policy, philosophy, or related research.
  • When in doubt, you defer to Indigenous stewards, councils, or community advisors.
In the future, this section can connect to an admin “ally review” workflow, where stewards confirm that each ally scholar is in good standing and aligned with Indigenous governance.
